Mom and GE

Mom came through the surgery fine yesterday. She can see and they got all the tumor they could see. Not sure yet if is cancerous, but they think that it probably isn't a non cancerous tumor. Mine was a menganoma (sp?) and they knew right away that it wasn't cancerous, so we will have to wait to find out what it is.

On the good news front... Dash of Desire took first in the Great expectations short and long contemporary category:) And I got a request for a partial. The score sheet was awesome... got 128 out of 130. Now I have to call my agent and let her know:)

Have an early hospital visit, so have to run.

I've been thinking about you since reading the first blog entry about your mom. SO glad the surgery is over. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. I just had to have my own surgery to have a tumor removed from the bone on the other side of my hard palate last week (got the stitches out today). Found out that they initially thought it was cancerous and actually had to send it back to the Mayo Clinic to be identified by four different doctors. Good news is it's benign, although they still don't know for sure what kind of tumor it was. My doc told me I'd no doubt be the discussion in a few conferences and papers at the Mayo Clinic. Apparently I should have been more explicit in my prayers of getting published soon. Um, I MEANT under my own name...not in some medical journal. LOL!
